February 22, 2012 - LumenRadio & Philips brighten Belgian water tower

LumenRadio, technology leader in wireless lighting controls, was recently part of the celebration of Belgian city Turnhout's historic water tower and its status as the 2012 Culture City of Flanders. Brick water towers used to increase water pressure were once a common sight in lower laying areas of Belgium, but Turnhout's massive 38 meter / 125 feet high tower is now the only one of its kind remaining in the entire Flemish region of the country. The tower was granted landmark status in 1987 and has become a visual focal point for this city located about half way between Antwerp in Belgium and Eindhoven in Holland.

February 15, 2012 - LumenRadio announces Japanese certification and distribution

LumenRadio, technology leader in wireless lighting controls, has been granted Japanese certification for it's CRMX products in compliance with the latest version of the ARIB STD-T66 standard. The certification, similar to FCC in the USA and ETSI/CE in the EU, was issued by the Association of Radio Industries and Businesses (ARIB) and now allows commercial sale and use of the CRMX radio technology in Japan.

February 6, 2012 - LumenRadio goes green at the Museum National d'Histoire Naturelle

LumenRadio's CRMX wireless lighting controls played a key role in a new "green" lighting installation at the MusÃ©um National d'Histoire Naturelle located in the historic part of central Paris. The monumental Grande Galerie de l'Evolution, opened in 1889, is the undisputed centerpiece of the many buildings and sites making up the expansive French national museum of natural history. Its spacious central hall features a magnificent glass canopy above an equally impressive interior.

When renowned theater consultant Dick Hasselblad developed specifications for a new performing arts center named Spira, Swedish for sprout, he made sure that his design would match the building's spectacular modernistic exterior and include the latest and greatest state-of-the-art control technology. LumenRadio AB, TMB, and City Theatrical, Inc. have entered into a Confidential Settlement Agreement that settles all current litigation between the Parties and resolves all of the claims and counterclaims that the Parties asserted against one another. As part of the Settlement Agreement, LumenRadio AB has obtained a license from City Theatrical, Inc. to United States Patent No. 7,432,803 (the '803 Patent) and all patents in the '803 Patent family that covers all LumenRadio wireless lighting control products that have been sold in the past and that are currently being sold, including those sold to LumenRadio's OEM customers.

September 5, 2011 - Radio regulations kill 5.8GHz for wireless DMX/RDM

LumenRadio has canceled the commercial launch of its dual-band 2.4/5.8 GHz "White" platform as recent ETSI regulations have rendered the 5.8GHz band useless for professional wireless DMX and RDM systems. The regulatory environment for radio technology is a fast changing and complex matter. It requires considerable know-how to understand and significant engineering and test resources to ensure compliance.

August 22, 2011 - LumenRadio at historic Amerongen Castle

CMRX Slim was recently used for an extensive wireless installation at Amerongen castle in the Netherlands on a site that has been occupied by a castle for over 700 years. May 16, 2011 - LumenRadio's CRMX helps preserve TÃ¤by Church

TÃ¤by Church outside Stockholm originates from the 13th century when it was one of the primary houses of worship in Sweden. Much of the interior including the altar is from the 1470s and has been carefully preserved over the centuries and is still in use today. The church is most famous internationally for its 15th century ceiling paintings depicting Death playing chess with a knight, which inspired Ingmar Bergman's famous film scene in the Seventh Seal.

April 1, 2011 - LumenRadio's CRMX receives Chinese SRRC certification

LumenRadio, the wireless lighting controls technology leader, has as the first foreign manufacturer received Chinese SRRC certification for its CRMX products. The certification is similar to FCC in the USA for sales and operation of wireless systems in China. The Radio Transmission Equipment Type Approval Certificate is issued by the State Radio Regulatory Commission of P. R. China after extensive testing at a dedicated government laboratory to verify that the equipment complies with all applicable standards and regulations. The process, overseen by the China Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, is expensive, rigorous, and typically takes more than a year for this type of equipment.

March 28, 2011 - LumenRadio kicks the -30C cold in Finland

The city of Kangasala in southern Finland with its natural beauty and mineral water springs has been a popular travel destination for centuries. When it was time to refurbish the street and public area lighting it was also an opportunity to put an inviting face on the entrances to the city. The task was given to renowned lighting design firm VALOA. Their team has an extensive portfolio of innovative projects all over Finland, as well as abroad, and their work has received wide recognition with countless awards, prizes, and honors from all over the world. The freezing Finnish winters presented designer Arto Heiskanen with many practical challenges, but also with a white canvass of snow that he painted with color using custom designed RGB LED fixtures to augment the monochrome utility lights. These fixtures, together with LumenRadio's CRMX units, were integrated into a large number of lighting poles and bollards spread along the streets and intersections located on the perimeter of the city to give visitors a warm welcome and a pleasant good-bye to remember.

The project was developed by the Las Vegas Sands Corp. and has been billed as the world's largest and most expensive gaming property at a staggering cost of S$8 billion. LumenRadio's award winning CRMX RDM wireless lighting control system played a crucial role in the lighting refurbishment of UNESCO world heritage site Pont du Gard. February 14, 2011 - LumenRadio releases CRMXâ„¢ OEM modules in W-DMXâ„¢ legacy form factor

LumenRadio, the wireless technology leader, announce the immediate release and availability of CRMX OEM modules in the 82 x 46 mm W-DMX form factor. All CRMX OEM modules, as well as all other CRMX products, have always offered W-DMX receiver radio compatibility*; i.e. a CRMX receiver will automatically detect a W-DMX transmitter and configure itself to work with the W-DMX protocol. February 6, 2011 - Ben-Ri announces on-board CRMX wireless in new LT-Light consoles

Ben-Ri, Spanish manufacturer of the LT-Light brand, has added on-board wireless capabilities to the entire range of new Piccolo lightboards. The LT-Light Piccolo series with an integrated CRMX transmitter from LumenRadio will be introduced to the domestic market at the upcoming AFIAL trade show in Madrid. The full international launch of the new Piccolo products with on-board CRMX will happen at Prolight+Sound 2011 in Frankfurt later this spring. Technology leader LumenRadio's award winning CRMX RDM wireless system was recently used to provide some extra excitement at a sold-out rugby game in the international Magners League at the spectacular state-of-the-art Aviva Stadium in Dublin. December 14, 2010 - LumenRadio and Leafun (formerly Leifull) team up for Chinese training sessions

September 10, 2010 - RDM over ArtNet revealed at PLASA 2010

We are proud to present the support for RDM over Art-Net in all CRMX RDM transmitters at PLASA this year. Our CRMX wireless products already supported all the common entertainment lighting protocols: DMX, RDM, Art-Net I & II, Streaming ACN (draft & standard), ETCNet 2 & 3, Strand ShowNet, and Pathport. We are now taking it a step further by adding support for RDM over Art-Net. This means that we now have extended the bi-directionality of RDM into the Ethernet domain with the obvious advantages that has for networked connectivity on the controller side.

November 9, 2009 - CRMX SuperNova available for download

LumenRadio is today making CRMX SuperNova available for public download on the product site www.crmxnova.com. SuperNova is an RDM controller and management tool that is free to use with LumenRadio's CRMX Nova RDM products. SuperNova allows the user to visualise the entire lighting network, receive instant feedback from and communicate with RDM enabled devices, and easily set up and change anything from DMX addresses to transmitter frequencies. Click here for more information on all the functionality in CRMX SuperNova. The public release of CRMX SuperNova is done after thorough testing both internally and externally. To make sure both CRMX Nova RDM units and CRMX SuperNova were stable enough for use by professionals, the products were tested by an external lab to ensure full RDM compatibility and function. After a clean test report, the products are now openly available to order and download. The independent test report will be made available in the near future.

November 2, 2009 - LumenRadio attracts attention at PLDC

LumenRadio participated in PLDC (Professional Lighting Designer Convention) on the 29-31 of October. During the convention LumenRadio had ongoing live demonstrations of CRMX wireless light controls for lighting designers and manufacturers.

Many visitors were amazed by the previously unseen possibilities offered by CRMX in robust wireless light controls with instant feedback from connected fixtures. CRMX SuperNova especially raised some eyebrows by visualising the lighting network in realtime with interactivity. More than a few lighting designers wanted to specify CRMX for current projects, which we were happy to help them with.

October 21, 2009 - LumenRadio crowned best newcomer

LumenRadio was today crowned "Best NewcomerÂ of 2009" in Metro Tech Challenge. Metro Tech Challenge is a competition for technology startups organized by Swedish Incubators and Science Parks (SiSP)Â and the newspaperÂ Metro Teknik.

The jury's motivation was that LumenRadio had in a very short time frame, and in an unusually mature manner, had gone fromÂ idea to global sales in less than a year. LumenRadio was a brilliant example of how technology companies can successfully establish themselves.

LumenRadio CEO Per HulthÃ©n commented that receiving the award was very flattering. In recent months, LumenRadio has received numerous awards for releasing ground-breaking innovative technology and products, but this time the company was awarded for its business skills andÂ rapid growth of the company.

July 20, 2009 - LumenRadio at plug fest

LumenRadio participated with great success in the The Entertainment Services & Technology Association (ESTA) RDM Plugfest in Dallas July 17-19.

It was evident that significant progress has been made towards industry wide acceptance of this technology. This was demonstrated in large working system setups that proved manufacturer interoperability with as many as 40 different types of devices. Vital steps were also taken at the Plugfest to define the technical foundation that is required to successfully implement RDM in wireless control systems.

We at LumenRadio were also proud to see our R&D team member, Michael Karlsson, elected into the ESTA Control Protocols Working Group (CPWG).

June 12, 2009 - LumenRadio voted hottest new company of 2009

LumenRadio can now officially claim the prestigious title: HOTTEST NEW SWEDISH COMPANY OF 2009. The company won first prize in the Venture Cup Business Plan Competition outclassing close to a thousand other competitors with its innovative technology and strong business idea.
