Indoor entertainment

CRMX Nova™ was designed to meet the requirements of entertainment lighting; to withstand the wear and tear of touring, rental and stage use. CRMX Nova received PLASA's Award for Innovation in 2009 and 2010. In 2009 CRMX Nova won in recognition of the superior engineering in developing the CRMX Nova product line. In 2010, CRMX Nova Flex won for its ability to act as a complete cross-protocol wireless lighting control system.

All CRMX Nova products operate on the 2.4 GHz band, which is available globally. All units have the fundamental CRMX features such as Automated Cognitive Coexistence, DMX synchronization, lowest latency in the industry at 5ms, strong 128 bit encryption, up to 1000 meter link range, error correction and fidelity. All CRMX Nova receivers are also compatible with W-DMX™ transmitters.

Product types

Flex

User configurable to act either as a transmitter or as a receiver. When used as a receiver, a Flex unit is also able to output Ethernet based protocols such as Art-Net or Streaming ACN. Can be switched from transmitter mode to receiver mode and vice versa at any time.

Transmitter

At least one transmitter (or Flex unit) per DMX universe is required. It receives DMX/RDM data from a lighting console which is then distributed wirelessly to any number of linked receivers. If more than one DMX universe is to be distributed, simply add more transmitters.

Receiver

A minimum of one receiver per transmitter is required, but an unlimited number of receivers can be used with a transmitter. Receivers are physically connected to fixtures and outputs the DMX/RDM data it receives from the transmitter.
